Some of you may already be familiar with me through other platforms, such as Instagram or YouTube. Or, you might have stumbled across my previous blog. Or, you might not know me at all...
So, let's get to it. I am your average single working mother who needed guidance, direction, and a creative outlet from the daily stressors of life. I wanted the best for my son. I wanted to discover a way to live peacefully on an average 9 to 5 budget. And, most importantly, I wanted to break free from all of the daily chaos and learn how to fully enjoy life.
My life isn't perfect by any means. I still work five days a week like most Americans. I still have a mountain of debt. I do not own everything that my heart desires...
Yep, pretty typical. I know. So, why read my content? Well, I think that I might have accidentally stumbled across a little know secret for self-contentment. A little something that adds a dash of zest for life. That something that makes you grateful for what you already have and diminishes the sense of always needing more to gain happiness.
For me, this journey was initiated with products created by The Happy Planner. Now these products alone will not provide instant happiness. You must still do the work. But, the products helped me to gain a sense of control over my daily to-do's. They helped me to learn how to be creative again, something that I had given up on in my early childhood. Incredibly, these products helped to introduce me to some amazing women who also share a love for planning and let me know that I was not alone with my collage of problems.
Nearing my second full year of planning with these products I can safely state that I am at an improved level of life. My depression is completely absolved. I don't really remember the last day that I had a "bad day." My anxiety is practically absent as well. Sure there are some days that it gets a little tricky, but hey, that is life. My finances are a lot better, as I am no longer going into debt and am now making strides to climbing out of that deep dark hole. Last, I am actually fully enjoying life. Again, it is not picture perfect: I do not work from home, I am not a millionaire, I do not live in a mansion, etc. I am just an ordinary woman doing her thing and truly appreciating and celebrating everyday for its own unique gift.
Who would have known that so much could have been gained by purchasing a paper yearly planner? I for sure was not one of them. So, if you are curious as to how to get the most out of your planner, please bear with me as I add more posts and content to my page.
